Ruta bicicleta carretera Entre dos Sierras: Pico del Águila (Olocau) y Oronet (vertiente norte)
Esta ruta forma parte del ebook que publicamos hace unas semanas en nuestra web, «Las mejores rutas invernales para pedalear por Valencia», que consta de 5 rutas de bicicleta de carretera y 3 de BTT, de diferentes dificultades, para aprovechar todo el encanto y la luz de las carreteras y senderos valencianos en los meses de invierno. Distancia: 118 Km
Tiempo vuelta: 4h 30´ (media de +/- 25 Km/h)
Descripción de la ruta
Comenzamos nuestra ruta desde la misma ciudad de Valencia, o si lo prefieres podemos acortarla saliendo desde la localidad de Bétera, pueblo estratégicamente situado para explorar la Sierra Calderona haciendo más corta la ruta que os proponemos. Nos adentraremos hacia el corazón de la Sierra Calderona, pasando por las poblaciones de Olocau y Gatova, típicos pueblos del interior de Valencia y enclavados en plena Sierra, rodeados de bosques mediterráneos y circularemos por carreteras muy tranquilas. La ascensión al pico del Águila es larga, pero los porcentajes son moderados por lo que es apta para cualquier ciclista medianamente preparado o para ¡los más tenaces! El Oronet por su vertiente norte es un puerto realmente bonito, con el mar siempre a nuestra izquierda, los contrastes de azules y verdes son un placer para los sentidos. Una vez Coronado el Oronet, comenzará una prolongada bajada que nos conducirá a Serra, Naquera y Bétera, punto opcional de partida o continuaremos dirección Valencia.
